Recognitions and Awards

Each year, we are proud to recognize outstanding members of our Buccaneer team through our Building-Level Awards, honoring those who go above and beyond in service to our students, staff, and community.

Teacher of the Year (TOY) celebrates excellence in classroom instruction and a deep commitment to student learning. One educator from each building is selected to represent their school.

Educational Support Professional of the Year (ESPOY) recognizes the invaluable contributions of paraprofessionals, custodians, maintenance staff, secretaries, child nutrition staff, transportation teams, and technology staff. One honoree from each building is selected, with a district representative advancing to the state level.

Behavioral Health Professional of the Year (BHPOY) honors those who support the whole child, including school counselors, social workers, psychologists, and other student support professionals who play a critical role in student well-being and success.

Throughout the year, we also celebrate our Monthly MSD Treasures, recognizing staff members who make a meaningful impact in both big and small ways. These individuals represent the heart of our district and often reflect the same dedication and excellence highlighted in our "Of the Year" recognitions.

Together, these recognitions highlight the talent, commitment, and heart of our staff across every building, as we continue Charting the Course to Excellence.
