Delays for Inclement Weather Process
Fog and ice delays are common during the Fall and Winter months. Our process for delays start around 4:00am. No less than three people are checking weather conditions in various parts of the district. We use state and local weather forecasts as well as local radar and temperature readings. A determination is made by comparing our conditions with what neighboring districts are seeing as well. We try to have a decision made by 5:15am at the latest. Once a decision is made, we send an automated call out to notify families. Please make sure your contact information is accurate.
